The Château de Chantilly is the most beautiful marriage made by Art and Nature
. The Condé Museum is now a part of it.
The domain overlooks the Chantilly Racecourse and the Grandes Ecuries (Great Stables) which are a masterpiece which houses the living Museum of Horse. The gardens and the park are the most remarkable creations (the famous French landscape garden by Le Nôtre, the English garden with its island of Love and the temple of Venus, the Hameau which inspired the Hameau of Queen Marie-Antoinette at Trianon in Gardens of Versailles).
Stop 2
The Royaumont royal abbey was built in the XIII th century by the King of France Louis IX, known as Saint Louis. Its Gothic cloister and its splendid two-naved monks' refectory are the most remarkable till today. It includes a wonderful medieval-style garden, the Nine squares Garden.
